Production Notes

We worked alongside The Phoenix Group to bring to life the “SaskTel Business: Ripple Effect” campaign, highlighting the impact small businesses have in our community. Three days, four locations, five scenes—all made possible with a stellar crew (and a set of vintage anamorphic lenses).

We started our shoot in a coffee shop, flipping the space for two scenes: a restaurant and a café. We had planned on utilizing its big windows and letting natural sunshine in, giving the shots the warm look we strove for. But, in true Regina fashion, the weather changed on us last minute and we got a cloudy, rainy day. With lots (!) of lights, hard work form the crew, and a generator truck, we transformed a grey day into sunshine.

Our first day ended at a construction zone. We set up multiple HMI lamps on 65’ lifts to shine through the windows and hazed it up like crazy. Thanks to our amazing cast and crew who pulled it all off!

On day two, our crew gathered at a nearby farm to shoot magic hour. Using a Ready Rig and Freefly Systems Movi Pro, paired with Nodo Inertia Wheels, we captured the beauty of “the land of living skies” in multiple shots.
